The Croatian League for Hypertension, headquartered in Zagreb, Svetice 52, OIB: 29370213020 (hereinafter referred to as "the League" or "we"), as the data controller, collects, processes, and uses certain personal data of individuals who wish to participate in the League’s projects and receive notifications related to the projects and health topics the League focuses on. We ensure that personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

Data We Process:
Name and surname, email address, specialty, and institution of employment (optional).

We collect your name and email address to contact you for participation in the League's projects and to send you notifications about projects the League organizes, participates in, and supports, as well as updates on various health topics. The information about your specialty is needed to tailor your participation in our projects and customize the notifications we send you based on your field of expertise.

Providing your institution of employment is not mandatory for participating in our projects and receiving notifications, but it can help us better tailor the notifications we send. By selecting (clicking) the appropriate option, you can consent to have your name and surname published on the official website of our project. We do this exclusively with your explicit consent to ensure project transparency and to recognize all involved. Your participation in the project is not conditional on providing this consent. If you change your mind, you can always contact us via our email address, and we will remove your data from the website.

We collect all data solely based on your consent, which you provide by entering your data into the form on our website or a specific project’s website and selecting (clicking) the checkbox to accept the privacy policy.

You can withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data at any time by sending an email to info@h-liga.hr. Additionally, when receiving notifications at your email address, you can click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each message. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that occurred prior to the withdrawal.

We will process your data as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose, i.e., until the cessation of the projects and activities of the League in the health sector or until you withdraw your consent.

We may share your personal data with our collaborators who act as data processors to provide the service of sending notifications to your email address (e.g., newsletters). Your data will not be transferred to third countries outside the European Union.

You have the right at any time to request access to your personal data that we process and to correct any inaccurate personal data. In certain cases, you have the right to request the deletion of personal data or to restrict processing, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Additionally, you have the right to object to data processing and the right to transfer your data to another data controller when processing is based on your consent.
